The MEDports Association held its statutory meeting on June 27, 2018 in Marseille, with over twenty Mediterranean port authorities deciding to create a half-dozen committees, including a Smart Port committee.  This committee will allow participants to exchange good practices and “connect” the initiatives that will optimize Mediterranean maritime transport, whether those fall under digital technologies, energy transition or other categories. The Grand Port Maritime de Marseille was chosen to preside over the MEDports Association as well as its Smart Port committee.
